The City boss told Sky Sports after last night's 3-1 win over Aldershot: "We are still in two cup competitions so we are going to need all our players. "We want Michael Mifusd to stay here and play with us.
"If Michael keeps giving us that performance and that level of commitment only a fool would leave him out of the squad and I am not a fool. "As long as I get that from all of our players I will be happy."
Mifsud, had told the City boss that he wanted to leave Coventry last month, but found that Bristol City were not willing to match the £9k a week he is on at the Sky Blues.
With no Premier League clubs coming in for the striker, Misud has been left with little choice but to knuckle down and get on with resurrecting his City career until his contract expires.
Said Mifsud to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "I always had passion. I was always happy here. I am committed to Coventry and I try my best in whatever I do."
