Mister Bates In Charge

The currently scheduled referee for Coventry City's Championship game against Cardiff City on Wednesday night is Antony Bates.

Staffordshire based Mr Bates was in charge of City's League Cup defeat by Newcastle United and the 1-0 win at Birmingham City earlier in the season.

This season, he has had 25 games and shown 49 yellow cards and three red.

Mr Bates' last game was Sheffield United's 2-1 win against Charlton in the FA Cup on Saturday.
