City Chairman Mike McGinnity has pledged that money will be available for Micky Adams to spoend on players in order to help the Sky Blues stave off relegation.
McGinnity said: "As a board, we're not going to be stupid enough to bring in Micky as manager and then tie his hands behind his back.
"When the manager's job became vacant here, we had 55 applications and Micky was at the top of our list. "So if needed, the money will be found to get this club back up the league."
Money For Adams
Cardiff City defender Robert Page is a likely target as the Welsh international is available on a free transfer. Page captained his country in the 2-0 win over Hungary.
