Bury manager David Flitcroft is amongst those calling for the football season to be extended due to all the postponements.
Locally, the Midland Football Combination have extended their season due to all the postponements but Flitcroft has joined the calls for the Football League to extend the season.
"What we need right now is to be getting a plan of action," said Flitcroft.
"It's to make sure we have a contingency plan, a plan B. What I can't accept is that we're going to be (playing) Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday - four games in a week potentially. It's too much for the players, we're putting players at risk. The commitment of the fans - we're asking them to pay four times a week, it's wrong.
"The season, in my view, has to be extended. We are talking about real adverse weather conditions that we've never seen the like of.
"Every football club is trying their damnedest to get games on and it's no good looking at solutions when it's too late, when the horse has bolted. This is the time to plan something now that supersedes these games being called off because there's going to be a few more before the end of the month."
