Andy Morrell is deciding his next step after being told that he can look for another club by City boss Micky Adams.
Speaking to the CET,the club's record bench sitter said: "I think the manager has been very fair to me and I have got the opportunity to have a look to see if anything takes my fancy.
"I have always kept my head down and have never been an ounce of trouble to the gaffer. "I have always given my best for the club no matter what position I have played in and that will continue if I am still here next season.
Morrell To Decide
"But the one thing that is disappointing is that he has never really seen me play up front. "I did all right when I was played as a striker in my first season, although I dipped a bit which happens to all players who go through peaks and troughs. "Then we went through a period of playing one up front which meant I was forced out wide, but at least I could still get involved going forward.
"But then we went back to 4-4-2 and I moved further back in the pecking order. "Another manager then came in but he hasn't really seen me in my best position and it was maybe difficult for him to throw me in for a run of games.
"So I have to weigh up whether I want to try my luck elsewhere in order to play regular games or carry on here.
"It is nice to have Coventry as an option to fall back on if nothing happens, but I will be having a look to see if there is any interest and what is out there, and make a decision after my summer holidays."
