Former Coventry City striker Clinton Morrison was delighted at scoring with a stunning over head kick which ended a fifty game goal drought.

Morrison, whose last goal was for Colchester against Gillingham in 2014 told the BBC about his goal for Exeter City in a 3-0 win over Stevenage: "I've scored some good ones at Palace and for the Republic of Ireland, unbelievable ones, but that's got to be the best," said Morrison.

"I didn't think at 36 I could get my legs that high. I'm buzzing.

"I can get that monkey off my back now and hopefully go and get a few more.

"I know now I'll start scoring goals - I'm confident, I just needed that first goal.

"I haven't scored a goal for a year and a half. I've been in the right areas but the ball hasn't really been dropping for me, so it's frustrating.

"I've been a goalscorer throughout my career, but for the last three or four years it hasn't worked out for whatever reason.

"I'll be the first one to say I could probably have done better, but today it fell for me, I managed to score and I could have had another one which maybe on another day I would have scored. But I'm happy with that, just disappointed with the result."
