Morrison who scored after 33 seconds against Ipswich on Saturday said to the CT: "When I get on the pitch I sometimes forget I'm captain.
"I'm honoured to lead the team out and glad the manager chose me, but I don't think of it as an added responsibility.
"Even when Scott was there I still had a rant and rave because that's me and I'm not changing for anyone.
"We've got to do it as a team. I'm captain but there are 10 other players out there who are big enough to say what they think on the pitch.
"Nobody's going to tell them to get lost - apart from myself, of course, because I've got the armband!
"As captain I'll try to help referees if things are getting a bit heated, but it can be difficult sometimes.
"They come to you before the game and say, 'Talk to me and I'll talk to you,' but when he gave a penalty the other week I said, 'I just want to ask a question,' and he didn't want to answer so obviously he was lying to me beforehand!"
