Former Coventry City striker Clinton Morrison scored for Sheffield Wednesday in their FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Blackpool.
Morrison gave The Owls a 56th minute lead at Bloomfield Road but a stoppage time penalty converted by Kevin Phillips, a player City boss Andy Thorn would have liked to have signed had he been given the money to do so, means a replay at Hillsborough.
Crawley Town pulled off the major shock with a 1-0 victory at Championship side Hull City whilst Brighton beat Newcastle United 1-0.
Former City player Lee Hughes was booked as Notts County went down to a 1-0 defeat at Stevenage who booked their place in the Fifth Round draw tomorrow which will be draw by former City youngster and current Academy coach Mark Noon.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Bolton, Stoke, Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Birmingham and Norwich whilst Millwall came back to snatch a draw against Southampton.
