Speaking to the CT, Morrison said: "I think the fans have been brilliant. "They want the team to do well and obviously expectations are different this year because the manager has brought in six new players and when you see the club sign Freddy Eastwood and someone like myself who has scored goals throughout my career people expect things to click into gear straight away.
"But it doesn't work like that and it does take time. "It gets edgy sometimes in games and that's when we need the fans to stick by us like they have been.
"Hopefully we will keep climbing the table. To be in eighth at this stage of the season is pretty good."
