Coventry City manager described the 3-1 win over Sheffield United as fitting after the home campaign City have had which was their best since 1987.
Mowbray told the Press Association: “It was important the fans see that the team care about this club, this town, and see that we want to get out of the division so I picked a team I thought could win the game and told them to go out and play with a smile on their faces
"It was fitting after the season we have had at home - someone has just told me that is the most home wins we have had since 1987.
"We stayed unbeaten for longer than any side in this division but then we went on the poor run we had. With respect to these teams, to lose at home to Rochdale and Fleetwood is hard to take.
"When you look at the games we should have won, we would have had a very exciting last month, but it was a good way to finish at home.
"I believe we are at least one of the best six teams in the league - but stats would say different."
