Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is expecting his side to have to dig in at Bury on Saturday.
The City boss told Andy Turner of the Coventry Telegraph: “I have watched a couple of their games and first of all they have got some good players,” said Mowbray, in his assessment of the Shakers who go into the game on the back of four consecutive wins.
“They have a mix with some good technical players and they have some physicality, of course, at the top end of the pitch. If they decide to play two at the top end of the pitch they obviously have Leon Clarke and Tom Pope who are both very big, strong and powerful footballers.
“They have some real technicality with Danny Mayor who plays on the left off his right foot and some experience in Tom Soares, and also Peter Clarke at the back. Hussey is a threat with his left foot so they are a bit of a mixture who can do it both ways.
“They’ve bought some experience in that allows them to go long when they have to but also get the ball to their better footballers and play through the lines.
“The results suggest they’re doing all right, sixth I think, so we know it’s going to be a tough test away from home but, at our best, I think we can give them problems although I anticipate a fine margins game and hopefully we can come out of it on top.
“But I’m expecting to have to go there and dig in at times.”
