Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray felt that the officials had a difficult day during the Sky Blues 2-1 home defeat to Scunthorpe United.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Tony Mowbray said: “I think the officials had a difficult day.
"I wouldn’t blame them but it did feel that there was a spell when every time Maddison got the ball he got clattered and nothing happened.
“That’s frustrating.
"I do think that officials have to protect the talent because people come to watch football matches to see players with individual skill.”
