Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has admitted that his side are far from the finished article.
Mowbray said to the Coventry Telegraph: “Let’s be honest, we are where we are – far from the finished article – so do you keep encouraging them to play and improve or do you say ‘let’s not bother about that, let’s just bang it up front.
“That’s never been my way; players trying to pass the ball will make mistakes, give it away some times so it’s whether you live with that, keep trying to be a decent football team or throw that away and go route one.
“We’ve probably got to win half our games now to stand a chance of the play-offs and getting out of this league. We’ve got to win a lot more than that to threaten the top two and yet when you look at the results that’s still a possibility if we can string some wins together.
“We know what we have to do and we have to be positive; it’s important we try to win matches.”
