Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray felt that his side did enough to beat Doncaster Rovers.
Speaking about the 2-2 draw to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: “I’ve got a very frustrated dressing room in there but I’ve warned them that these type of games will come along.
“I thought we did enough to win the game and the nature of the goals we conceded was very disappointing because they didn’t have to work for them but we didn’t lose.
“There was lots of good play and we had plenty of opportunities to put the game to bed but we have a little break now so we’ll dust ourselves down for the next one."
Explaining why he did not make any subtitutions during the course of the game, Mowbray said: “That’s not like me but I thought that was the team that could get the job done. When you’ve got speed on the pitch you keep hoping that one slip, one error and you’ll be away but unfortunately that lapse of concentration was at the other end.
“We couldn’t get Murphy or O’Brien into pockets too often which is why we kept moving them around.
“They’re a decent side, they’ve won four of their last five so they’re full of confidence and came to play. We knew they were going to be a threat on the counter-attack because they’ve got some good fast wide players with a big lad up top who’s strong and mobile.
“This is a tight league and it’s getting tighter – you’ve only got to look at Peterborough coming up and we know that Wigan are going to be strong.
“There are other teams as well so we just have to trust in ourselves, keep believing and enjoy being where we are. It’s a long time since this club has been at the top of the league and that’s ten home games unbeaten this season so we have to take the positives from that.”
