Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said his side left it late to beat Fleetwood Town yet again.
Last season, City scored twice in a 2-0 win and this time, it took an own goal from former Sky Blue Richard Wood to give Coventry City a 1-0 win.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Mowbray said: “We left it late at Fleetwood last year as well.
“It’s a difficult place to come, as we knew it would be with Steven’s team who work extremely hard and pressed us all over the pitch.
“I thought we did enough and worked hard enough in the forward areas of the pitch to win the game and thankfully we did.
“We were adamant that we weren’t going to come here and dominate the football match and lose. I am sure we had a hugely greater number of shots.
“You also have to put it into context that we didn’t have Adam Armstrong, who has been practically scoring a goal a game, and Ryan Kent who, on days like today, would have ran past people and created chances, as Jacob Murphy did in spells.
“So we were without a bit of cutting edge today and yet we got three points.”
