Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is adopting a wait and see attitude over Adam Jackson who has returned to Middlesbrough after his loan ended.
Jackson made a couple of appearances for City U21's and was on the bench for the first team but has returned to his parent club.
Speaking about the central defender who looked cool and assured at U21 level, Mowbray said to the Coventry Telegraph: “I hadn’t seen Adam for two years and Middlesbrough were good enough to let us have a look at him for a month at no cost. It was well worth it for him and us.
“When I left he was still a boy but he’s turning into a man; he’s 6ft 4ins but he’s still got a bit of development – he’s got all the credentials to become a really good centre-half but he’s not a Reda Johnson yet.
“We’re mindful he’s out of contract in the summer but let’s see what Middlesbrough do because he’s their player. Are they going to give him a new contract, send him out on loan or release him? Let’s wait and see.”
