Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has admitted that he is delighted to Jacob Murphy who hit a hat-trick in the Sky Blues 4-1 win against Gillingham.
“That’s five in two games now,” Mowbray said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, “and when Jacob goes through I’m not sitting there thinking he’s going to miss or the keeper is going to make a save – he’s so fast with his movement, keeps the ball tight and just rolls them into the net.
“I’m delighted for him because he’s a wonderful lad – a smashing character around our football club. We’re very fortunate to have the Murphys, the Armstrongs, the Kents – young boys, away from their home and family and learning to grow up.”
