Tony Mowbray has said that he is looking forward to the challenge of turning around Coventry City.
Speaking to Sky Sports News At Ryton, Mowbray said: "I am looking forward to the challenge. This is a challenge where the club's size, history and fanbase should be a lot higher in the divisions than it currently is.
"I think first and foremost we have to be really positive. We should look at how tight the league is and thinking if we can win enough games, then the play-offs are only twelve points away. We should be looking really positively at it. I saw Norwich have won six on the bounch and I think the message to the group is to be really really positive and let's win some games.
"The players of Coventry City Football Club should be feeling confident about playing for the club and wanting to put it back where it rightly belongs.
"We need to start winning matches to do that. The first opportunity is this evening and then there are a couple of home games. Win those and you could be talking about winning four on the bounce after the win at the weekend.
"Motivation is always an interesting discussion point. "I always believe that players self motivate and my job is really to inspire and give them a target of goals to shoot for and words can help of course, the odd Churchillian speech can help a group of players galvanise and I think this club particularly the players, supporters, management, everybody need to galvanise and pull in the same direction.
"There has been examples of 27,500 in the Ricoh Arena this season already and if we can light that touch paper and get the supporters of our football club believing again and get the team believing it will be a force that is very difficult to stop, if we all push in the same direction
"The potentiai is why I am stood here, i have managed some huge clubs in my career and brought teams to the Ricoh Arena and felt what the atmosphere is like and seen how passionate the supporters are, if we can reignite that, it is a great opportunity to get the football club doing what it has been good at in its history.
"Maybe, City's right full place is in the English Premier League and we have to ignite the fanbase. We have to get people whose sky blues scarves are in their wardrobes, get them back round their necks and supporting the team and try and be successful.
