Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is hoping to sign one or two players this week.
The transfer window closes at 6pm on Tuesday and speaking to Keiran Crowley at this morning's press conference, Mowbray said: "We've got some options. It's very much the loan market but hopefully over the next few months the fluency and identity of the team will put us in a positive position.
"We've had some trialists in, we don't like to fill the ground with players agents push onto us. I don't like doing things blind.
"I would hope we'll sign another player or two in the week. Numbers are looking short, but we wouldn't want to spoil the good start by not having the right numbers.
"I literally get 20 players every day thrown at me. Some of them are tempting, some of them salary is five times what we can pay. Why are you offering him to us!? But there's loads of scenarios like that. We have to get on with it.
"The budget situation is different to what I'm used to, mainly because of the quality of players. You get better consistency with more money. Every footballer has talent, you're looking for the consistency of the player."
