Adam Barton has said that Tony Mowbray is the lift that Coventry City need.
Speaking to the Coventry Telelgraph at this morning's press conference, Barton said: "He's a very experienced manager and it's massive for the club for Tony Mowbray to come to the club. That's what we needed, a presence.
"The first day he came in he expressed how much he wants to play football, get it down and pass and that's great for me.
"There will be changes but that will take time because you can't do too much too soon.
It's nice to know that the manager knew of me but I have got to prove to him that I am a good player.
"I have not been given a chance in the past but I have got a run of games now and hopefully I can keep my place.
"The way the new manager plays I'm sure that will suit me.
"The new manager coming in has given everyone a boost. We are not thinking about the club going down, just being positive about getting a run going."
