Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he has not discussed getting former loanee Dominic Samuel back on loan.
Mowbray said about Samuel, who is on loan at Gillingham from Reading, to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I haven’t discussed that. “Obviously my managerial connection with Steve Clarke is no longer there, although I know the new manager Brian McDermott pretty well.
“I think that’s an area we should look at potentially if the right player comes along because as the pitches start to deteriorate – I’m not sure the Ricoh is as good as it was two months ago – sometimes two strikers up front and having two targets rather than playing through the lines and playing more direct to the front to maintain the run is something we should look at."
