Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that the opportunity is there for Ryan Haynes to hold down a regular first team place.
Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph about Haynes: : “That’s down to Ryan.
“He knows my thoughts and it’s not a lack a talent that won’t get Ryan Haynes in the team. He has to man up really and get ready for the challenges of League One football.
“He’s adamant that he’s ready and that this is going to be a big season for him. The signs were good, very positive at Nuneaton, putting balls in the box and going past his man down the side so fingers crossed he stays really positive and has a good year."
“I keep saying to Ryan that I love him but he has to get in our team.
“He has to be a man because every time he doesn’t win a header at the back stick or lets a man dance past him, or every time he misses a tackle I sit there and think I need to get someone in who can do that job. The opportunity is there for Ryan and hopefully he grabs it.”
