Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is still to make a decision over trialist Liam Graham.
The Australian, born in Melbourne, played for City U21's against Colchester United on Monday and speaking aobut him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said: “We haven’t really made a decision on that yet. “He’s come from Italian football and I think he found the physical demands of the 21s game quite tough.
“He didn’t have a lot to do and you have to judge them and make decisions on where could they be in a month’s time of he did stay and play three or four games.
“I have got Aaron Phillips and Jordan Willis, who will be back in a month or two, I’ve got Sam Ricketts playing there at the moment and it’s a decision that I’ll not necessarily take on my own. I’ll take it with the counsel of my staff, but we’ll wait and see.
“The ultimate decision is, is he better than what we’ve got?” said Mowbray, whose development director Mark Venus set up the trial.
“The difficulty of that is judging when he’s not match fit. I think he’s a different type of right-back to the ones we’ve got because he’s more stand and pick a pass, stand and play. He wants to get on and play and join in rather than Jordan who brings physicality, power and athleticism.
“Aaron has lots of assets and he’s just a young boy who has to put them all together really. Whether he can do that, we’ll wait and see but he can jump and head it, he can run, he’s quick and all young players have to put those assets together to play the position and do the job that they’ve got.
“Let’s see. I’ll make a decision on that over the next few days or week.”
