Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has compared trying to sort out his squad to doing a jigsaw.
“We’re putting a jigsaw together and at the moment there are still big holes in it,” Mowbray said to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner.
“I am not going to sit here saying I feel all warm and everything is fitting together beautifully, but I’m pretty positive and upbeat about it.
“And it might be like last year when the all important bits fall into place right at the end. I’m trying to put the pieces together and the excitement generally comes when you put the final pieces in and then you can start to see the speed and the power and the technicality.
“I don’t get too excited at this stage. I just want to sit down and have a cup of tea with them and talk about football, how they got on last year, if they played against us what did they think. I want to see if they love the game and what they do and we’ll take it from there.
“If we like them and they like us then Veno will try to get the deals done.”
