A group of local MP's have issued a prese statement ahead of a meeting in Westminster next week which aims to help keep Coventry City playing in Coventry.
The meeting has been called by Jeremy Wright, the MP for Kenilworth & Southam and Secretary of State, which will see the owners of Coventry City attendng with representatives from Wasps and Coventry City Council attending as well as the following MPs: Jim Cunningham (Coventry South), Colleen Fletcher (Coventry North East), Marcus Jones (Nuneaton and Bedworth), Mark Pawsey (Rugby), Craig Tracey (North Warwickshire) and Matt Western (Warwick and Leamington).
The statement reads:
"As local MP's, we all want to see a solution and Coventry City continue to play in Coventry.
"We welcome the invitation to the forthcoming meeting with the Secretary Of State and the various parties involved and will engage positively to encourage a solution."
