Gary McSheffrey feels that Coventry City have not wisely spent the money they received from his £2.32m plus add ons transfer to Birmignham City.
"Micky Adams did sign a lot of players after I left the club and it is not for me to say whether they have done a good job or not. I just think the money could have been spent more wisely," said McSheffrey to the Sunday Mercury.
My Fee Not Well Spent - McSheffrey
"The players are definitely out there. You have only got to look at the players we've got on loan, for example.
"Hopefully, Coventry can regroup and get back to a winning team and make the Ricoh Arena a much happier place for the players and fans.
"I am a Coventry supporter as I've watched them since I was a kid so it is disappointing to see them struggling.
"I played under six managers while I was at the club and a couple of other lads are in the same boat. "All these changes are not good for the club or players."
