Swindon Town forward James Collins has said that his goal against Coventry City on Saturday was for his best friend Declan Callum, who killed on October 2nd in a motorbike accident near Brandon.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Collins said: "I think the City fans misread the situation and gave me a bit of stick.
"My best friend from Cardinal Wiseman Dec Callum, died last Thursday so I wanted to do well for him and I dedicate the goal to him.
"Dec was a Cov lad as well and due to be here for the game but unfortunately, he was hit by a train near TGI's and passed away so I was glad to do it for him."
