Survey link in my inbox from the EFL. Decided to reply. Found an 'any other comments bit'. They might regret asking.......some bits may be contentious. Some might not agree. But I think we (Coventry City FC fans) agree with the closing line;
"Where to start..... I'm sure you're well aware of the frustrations of being a CCFC fan; off field problems between our owners, local Authority, London Wasps taking over the stadium.
I do think it needs EFL intervention as its affecting everyone involved from the top owner, to the fans. Pressure needs to be out on all three to resolve what appear to be personal issues; the people involved are reluctant to accept compromise, and it can't go on as it is!
Our CEO opting out of meetings isn't helping.
Our LA showing a clear preference for a non Coventry club is a huge distraction. Are we getting our own ground? Are we remaining tenants? Some form of mediation, with no end to it until a compromise and resolution is reached is needed.
If the EFL cared about supporters of individual clubs, and want the interest in the sport to continue you have to intervene. Have to. Do I have faith that you will? No. But something has to change. We as supporters need the backing of the EFL. You have to do something about the ongoing off field distractions which affects us all. If you take one thing away from this survey, take away that CCFC fans are not happy and something needs to change!"
