Mystery surrounds Adrian Heath becoming number two to Phil Brown at Derby County. City released a statement on their official website saying that Heath had left to become assistant manager at Pride Park.
However, Derby boss Phil Brown said last night: "Adrian resigned from Coventry this morning. He is a close friend of mine and was at the match tonight. More than that I wont say for now."
Derby Chief Exective Jeremy Keith has said he will be speaking to the City Board after this announcement by City was prematurely made. He said: "I think it's fair to say Phil would like Adrian as his assistant and Adrian has tendered his resignation at Coventry. "But we were surprised at Coventry's announcement which was made without consultation so I think it's time our board had a conversation with their board about this situation."
