Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he is concerned about the naivety of his players during the 3-2 defeat to Port Vale.
Speaking to BBC Coventry & Warwickshire, Mowbray said: "What I saw from the last two days training I saw young lads that are a little naive.
"When we got it back to 2-2 I felt only one team could win it
"It's no surprise we are where we are, silly mistakes have cost us. I couldn't fault the endeavour.
"We may have to go even basic to protect our goal and keep clean sheets.
We have to focus on the goals ahead and Tuesday night is all we must think about.
"On the pitch it's important we don't play the game into our opponents hands.
'The naivity of the goals we conceded today was alarming.
'We need to see if we can find a way to win football matches, today was frustrating and naive but I can't fault their commitment."
