Norwich City mnager Alex Neil was full of praise for his young players after the 6-1 League Cup Second Round win over Coventry City.
Neil told The Pink Un: “It is great to see the young boys coming through.
“One or both of the Murphys had played some part in every game, Sergi is getting better all the time and Ben Godfrey will be a very good player for us. You have to remember he is only turning 19 Ben and he was playing League Two last season so his progression has been really good. He’ll be a real prospect.
“I thought they did great. It was nice for those lads to come in and perform as well as they did. Nothing to take from it apart from positives. Josh hit the post and he was really unfortunate not to score and you could see he was desperate to get his goal. I thought he performed really well, as did the rest of them. The one thing with Coventry City it is going to be tough for them because they have a really young team and they have some important league games coming up. We have six injuries at the moment so the one thing we have done is built a nice strong squad and we are looking to add to it. Going forward the future is bright.”
