Former Coventry City Academy produce Jermaine Grandison has signed for Colchester United.
Grandison came through City's ranks to make five appearances for City's first team before being released in 2011.
The Birmingham born player then joined Shrewsbury Town and went onto make 174 appearances but was not offered a new deal at the end of last season and has been out of the game since.
Grandison has recently been training with Colchester and featured in two U23 games for them and has signed a deal until the end of the season.
