Former Coventry City striker Onandi Lowe is back playing football in Jamaica. The striker who played one and a bit games for the Sky Blues before being accused of drugs smuggling and later cleared, has signed for Portmore United.
New Club For Lowe
Lowe had been unable to get a work permit in this country and returned home to sign a two year deal in a move financed by former president of the Jamaican Football Federation, Captain Horace Burrell.
"I have been out of the game for quite a while and am very excited at the prospect of resuming my career," Lowe told the Jamaica Observer.
"This was not a difficult decision for me to make, since I am familiar with a number of the players and staff at Portmore United.
"However, had it not been for Captain Burrell this may not have been possible and I want to publicly say thanks to the Captain."
