Dwiss as he was known during his time at the Sky Blues, joined City from Fulham's Academy and settled in well on the wing.
He put in some excellent performances for City Academy and Reserves and was given his league debut by Micky Adams against Hull City in September 2005.
His contract was coming to an end but a stunning performance in a reserve game against Peterborough United on Iain Dowie's first day as Sky Blues boss was enough to earn him another year.
In all he made eleven appearances before the Wandsworth born player was released and he joined Northampton Town in 2008.
Speaking about his new deal, Cobblers boss Ian Sampson said to BBC Sport: "He's a wide player with pace and gives us good attacking options down the left.
"He has the ability to take players on and to create things for us. He is an attacking threat.
Davis is expected to be in Northampton's squad to face City on Wednesday July 21st at Sixfields in a pre-season friendly.
