Former Coventry City youngster Courtney Baker-Richardson has signed a new deal with Leamington FC.
Baker-Richardson, from Hillfields, who came through City's academy and made his first team debut in the FA Cup tie away to Hartlepool United, has made 55 appearances for The Brakes scoring 20 goals including a goal against Hitchin Town which helped Leamington to promotion back to the Conference North.
Paul Holleran said to Leamington FC's website: "Obviously I’m delighted that we have been able to keep Courtney at the club. He’s just come back from holiday and we’ve been able to sit down and have a proper chat. Courtney is fully committed to what we are doing here. He realises that we have helped him improve immensely over the 18 months that he has been at the club.
"We feel that he is only going to get better, and Leamington is the best place for him to do this. I’m very pleased to have tied down one of our key players from last season’s promotion and cup winning squad, and I am sure that Courtney is looking forward to testing himself in the National League North."
Meanwhile, former Coventry City midfielder Kevin Thornton has signed a new deal to stay at Coventry United.
