According to City supporters website "According To GT ", camera giants Ricoh could be the name for the Arena.
With Arena Coventry bosses insisting that the Stade De Foleshill must have a name, they have been busy seeking a replacement for Jaguar Cars who withdrew from a £7m deal last year.
Ricoh whose European office is in Amstelveen in Holland, have a contract to provide Arena owners Coventry City Council with photocopiers etc and currently sponsor the ATP Tennis Tournaments.
The name "Ricoh" adds some irony to the situation in that "Rico" was nickname used by some for former Chairman Bryan Richardson who first muted the Arena and whose role in getting the project off the ground, landed him a small fortune by way of a big pay rise/bonus and contributed to his demise.
Tescos who have a store on the Arena site, are the current favourites for the Naming Rights, mainly thanks to the new home kit for next season closely resembling one of their carrier bags.
