Former Coventry City midfielder Kevin Thornton has signed a new deal at Northampton Town.
The Irishman, who played for Coventry Sphinx and Nuneaton Town in order to get back his fitness and win a contract has signed a year deal after his short term deal came to an end.
Northampton boss Ian Sampson told his club's website: " I am pleased Kevin has signed. It is clear that he has a lot of talent and a lot of ability and the challenge for Kevin is to show that on a consistent basis next season. If he can do that we will have a very good player on our hands."
