Newcastle United are unlikely to make a bid for the services of current Coventry City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
The Republic Of Ireland international is out of contract at the end of the season but he is unliikely to be heading to Newcastle United if comments by Geordies boss Alan Pardew to the Daily Mail are anything to go by.
Pardew is quoted as saying: "Everyone is on our radar but not so much the goalkeeping situation because we have got Steve Harper, Fraser Forster and Tim Krul and I don't think, if i am honest, that is going to change. There are other areas in whch we need to strengthen."
Everton, Celtic and Wigan continue to be linked but Westwood is understood to be wanting regular first team football in order to help him keep his place in the Ireland national side.
