Manny Wengert and David Bergner have been released after failing to impress at FSV Oggersheim. They have been replaced by goalkeeper Adran Masic,a 29 year old who has played in Germany and centre half Con Blatsis who has played in England with Sheffield Wednesday,Colchester and in Turkey with Kocealispor.

Whilst the City supporters who have made the trip enjoy themselves in Saarbrucken or on day trips to Luxembourg,Heidlburg or Kaiserslautern, the team is stuck in a tiny village called Weiller with little to do. The beds are rock hard and reports say that it is more of a prison camp than a training camp. Boredom is a major factor with no bar (even Peter Reid has given up drink for ten days),the players are reduced to playing on the play station.

Jaguar was today unveiled as the record-breaking backer of the city's Arena. The ten-year multi-million pound sponsorship deal ends months of speculation and will see the stadium named the Jaguar Arena. The car maker’s legendary big cat logo will soon be leaping high above the new £113million home of the Sky Blues, off the A444 in Foleshill, Coventry. Estimated at £7million, the agreement is a huge commitment to both Coventry and the beleaguered British motoring industry. The deal is the largest agree-ment of its kind in the country, shattering the previous record of £3million set by the Reebok Stadium, in Bolton.

You can see how work is progressing on the Jaguar Arena via webcam. The webcam on the Arena Coventry website is mounted more than five metres off the ground of the £113 million Arena scheme and a picture will be taken every 30 minutes of every day until the multi-purpose development is completed in August next year. At the end of the build programme, the webcam software will be able to produce a time lapse record of the construction from start to finish.

The webcam can be viewed by logging on to www.arenacoventry.com and clicking on the webcam sign at the bottom right hand side of the page.
