Danny Ireland, yesterday signed a one year contract extension with Coventry City.
The Aussie keeper has vastly improved this season after a disasterous start which saw City lose their first five Reserve League games and crash out of the Birmingham Senior Cup at Solihull Borough.
This improvement is all down to the intensive treatment that Ireland received from goalkeeping coach and former City Reserve team boss Steve Ogrizovic and Tim Flowers until his departure.
The pair worked hard with Danny to improve all aspects of his game including his confidence and their efforts have been rewarded as Ireland has made some excellent saves including two at Nottingham Forest on Tuesday to keep the Reserves unbeaten in eleven matches.
Said Chris Coleman, who has also given deals to keepers Andy Marshall and Neil Collett, to the club website: "Danny has impressed me during our training sessions and I believe he has a lot of potential. "I believe he will only get better next season and he is also a great lad to work with."
