Coventry City Ladies manager Craig Nicholls was delighted with his side's 3-0 win at Gillingham which sees the Sky Blues needing a win at Portsmouth on Sunday to win the WPL Southern League title.
Speaking to Matty Roper, Nicholls said: "We knew we had to win that game today and to do it with fourteen fit players, especially in these conditions, was a real credit to the team."
"The work rate today was exactly what I asked for, we battled when needed to and played some super passing football. Our desire to achieve was there for all to see today, and the reshuffling once we were down to ten shows the will of the players, with a few of them playing out of position. It was just excellent today, it's as simple as that."
