Coventry City Ladies manager Craig Nicholls has said that he was pleased with his side's 6-3 League Cup victory at Lewes Ladies.
Nicholls told Matty Roper: "it was a really dominant display today with some superb football and a fantastic team ethic. After 3 weeks without a game it was good to see a real sharpness about us and some quality goals.
"We looked a bit jagged at the end but with the work rate we expected that after not playing for the last few weeks. I'm happy though, the squad is very strong at the moment and they are giving me headaches in terms of choices, it's very difficult to choose the team at the moment due to the quality we possess and the standard of performances from players has been brilliant."
City Skipper Natasha Lynch also added: "Collectively we worked very hard today and it was a good performance apart from conceding the penalties. We were clinical though and that allowed us to kill the game against a decent side, there was some top individual performances today which is very pleasing."
