Port Vale boss Robert Page is set to include former Coventry City loanee Alex Nimely in his squad to face the Sky Blues on Saturday at Vale Park.
The midfielder missed a reserve game last week but should be in Page's squad for the game after over-coming a thigh twinge.
Page told the Stoke Sentinel: "Alex was just feeling his thigh a little bit last week so I protected him.
"Keeping him out of last Wednesday's reserve game, battering him with treatment for a couple of days and having him in over the weekend and working him has paid off.
"He has got through training and looks really bright.
"He does need games, so it was frustrating that he couldn't play, but I would rather protect him a little bit and have him ready for Saturday."
