According to Simon Gilbert, the Supreme Court have said that there has been no appeal made to them by Coventry City owners Otium Entertainment Group, Sky Blue Sports & Leisure and the Avro Master Trust to appeal the High Court decision not to grant a second judicial review into the sale of the Ricoh Arena to Wasps.
Mr Gilbert, who now works for the BBC, tweeted: "Supreme Court informs me there has been no application to appeal latest court defeat from CCFC's lawyers. The deadline has now passed. On the face of it, this seems to be the end of the long-running Ricoh Arena court battle.
"But Supreme Court says an application could be allowed after the deadline if there's a valid reason. However, football club's lawyers has previously stated it could seek to claim damages through the civil courts. We'll have to wait and see if this truly is the end.
"Whether this news is enough for Wasps to be willing to return to the negotiating table over a long term Ricoh Arena deal for CCFC is another question. I'll let you know as soon as we have an answer. "
