The striker, who joined City from Walsall in the summer for £200k, has injured his knee, suffering knee ligament damage, in a training ground collision with Jordan Willis, who was forced off with an injury during the defeat to Luton Town today.

Mark Robins told the media: "Bakayoko is injured and is going to be out for eight week after Jordan Willis landed on him in the early part of the week."

City are also without Dujon Sterling who has a hip injury but it is hoped that he will be back for the trip to Shrewsbury Town.
