Coventry City have decided not to persue their interest in Israel Bascon.
Steven Pressley fielded the Spaniard on the left wing against Willem II on Thursday night and on the right side of defence in the first half of the 1-1 draw against Heraclues Amelo on Saturday in Tubbergen.
However, the one time Real Betis player failed to impress either the City supporters or the City management who have decided not to persue their interest.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, City boss Pressley, whose side flew back to Birmingham at 9pm on Saturday evening, said: "He’s a little bit short of fitness and he showed flashes of real quality but whether we progress on that I don’t know.
"He’s a free agent but he maybe doesn’t quite fit the DNA of the player I am looking for in that position.”
