No Crawley Contract For Fowler

Former Coventry City midfielder Lee Fowler has not been offered a new deal at Crawley Town.

Fowler is out of contract after his loan from Nuneaton Town expired and although he has had talks with the club, there has been no concrete offer of a deal made to the midfielder, who was part of Crawley's team which was relegated to League Two.

Crawley CEO Michael Dunford told Crawley News: “Nobody has offered anything to Lee yet. “We have had a discussion with Lee but he hasn’t been made an offer.

“We have had an initial discussion, but like everyone else, Lee wants to know who the manager will be.

“Other players’ contracts have also expired and those players aren’t part of the retained list because they weren’t our players before May 16.

“However, that doesn’t stop us talking to them and if players are hanging on and we keep them in the loop, then as soon as a manager is appointed we can have discussions about contracts.”
