No Development On Petrasso - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that there is no development on the Michael Petrasso situation.

The Canadian has returned to Queens Park Rangers after his loan expired on Sunday and Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “There’s no development as yet with Michael who is back with QPR, and until they get a situation resolved there, there will be nothing at this end.

“So we are kind of waiting to see if there is a situation between him and his club.

“We have a bit of time and we’re hopeful but it’s beyond our control.”

The City boss has ear-marked the winger as a possible for next season and said: “He’s definitely a player who, moving forward, fits the DNA of what we’re looking for.

"He’s a really good age, got the energy to play in our team and if he became available for loan next year we’d be really keen to do that.

“He’s at that stage of his career where he’s done really well with the Under-21s and needs the next stage, and if he’s not going to play in QPR’s first team then the obvious step would hopefully to be to come and play for ourselves.

“The easy part of it is that he knows us and we know him so it would be a no risk situation, so I'd like to do something is possible.”
