Coventry City will not furthering their interest in trialist Jordan Brown.
The midfielder who is a free agent, played for City for the last thirty minutes of their 3-2 defeat away to SK Sturm Graz yesterday and whilst he impressed the six City supporters who travelled and admitted to them that he had enjoyed playing for City, he did not impress Tony Mowbray and Jamie Clapham and will not be getting a deal.
“I think we’ve made that decision,” said Mowbray to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, who again produced some excellent work whilst out in Austria.
“I think it’s very difficult for a young player to come over and to go into a group of players he doesn’t know, demands he doesn’t know and way we play.
“You can see how sharp and quick he is; he’s got fast feet and he’s a lovely kid who works really hard. His body is strong but I am very conscious of our own young players and their career paths.
“It’s hard enough for them if we sign the players we want to sign over the next month, the players who have come through the pre-season and learned all the processes.”
