Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has hinted in his pre match press conference ahead of City's final game of the season at Oldham, that James Maddison may not necessarily play.
Mobray said, “He’s been here for a long time, still only a boy and his adventure is ahead of him really. We are all aware of his talent but I don’t think there needs to be any sentiment to give him a last outing at Oldham. I will pick the team to get a victory.”
Mowbray went on to say, “Some of these players it’s potentially their last [game] for the club so they are playing for their careers and I am sure they will get another contract somewhere and progress their careers. There’s a personal pride about it because the final position goes in the record books. We set the bar for next year and it’s important we set the bar high to get out of this league.
“One or two might play or be in and around the squad like last week.”
